RETROPRINT (retro-print.com) turns a photo you upload into a retro print. This policy says what we collect, why, and how long we keep it. It is short because the service collects very little.
What we collect
Your account. To use the studio you sign in, and we store:
- your email address;
- if you sign in with Google or GitHub, the basic profile they return — your name and
avatar. We request only the
emailandprofilescopes. We never ask for, and cannot see, your contacts, files, calendar or anything else in your Google or GitHub account; - if you sign in with a password, a one-way hash of it. We never store the password itself.
Accounts are handled for us by Supabase, which acts as our data processor.
Photos you upload. An uploaded photo is decoded into memory on the render machine so the GPU can work on it. It is never written to disk, never copied anywhere else, and is not used to train anything. It is dropped from memory automatically after at most one hour of inactivity, and sooner if the machine needs the room. Your design settings — inks, screen, tone and the rest — are sent with each render request and are not stored after it returns.
Server logs. Our server logs each request with its time, path, response status and the connecting IP address. This is ordinary operational logging — it is what lets us find a fault or spot abuse — and it is not linked to your account or used to build a profile.
Your browser. The design you are working on is saved in your own browser's local storage so the studio looks the same when you come back. It stays on your device; we cannot read it.
Cookies
We set two kinds of cookie and neither is for advertising. A session cookie from Supabase keeps you signed in. A short-lived API session cookie from our own server authorises render requests. There are no analytics, no tracking pixels and no third-party advertising cookies anywhere on this site.
Who we share it with
Nobody, other than the providers that run the service for us: Supabase (accounts and sign-in) and Cloudflare (the network the site is served through). We do not sell personal data, and we have never disclosed any to a third party for their own purposes. We would disclose data if a valid legal order required it.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the data on your account, correct it, or delete the account outright — deleting it removes the email address, profile and password hash we hold. Since photos are never stored, there is nothing to delete on that side. Email [email protected] and we will act on it within 30 days.
If you are in the UK or the EEA, our lawful basis is contract for running your account and rendering your prints, and legitimate interests for keeping the server logs that let us operate the service securely. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
RETROPRINT is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page and, for anything significant, tell account holders by email. Questions go to [email protected].
