The thank-you card, made in the studio as you see it here. The buttons are easy; these are the five small decisions that make it look finished.

The hummingbird is printed in a single black on speckled paper. With the colour gone, the soft wing and the torn edge are what you look at.
The picture sits left of centre with a wide margin. Air costs nothing on a card, and it is what makes a small thing feel considered.
A script for the feeling, a quiet serif for the reason. Two typefaces with different jobs; a third would only argue with them.
Everything is black and paper except one small pink heart, and the eye goes straight to it. That is what a single spot colour is for.
Handwriting, set to the left like a real note, signed low on the right, with most of the back left empty for a line in your own hand.
